Gone too far?

Ok so, for my dissertation i'm focusing on two campaigns, the 1994 Wonderbra 'Hello Boys' and the 2007 advertising for Tom Ford's 'first fragrance for men'

Is this acceptable or offensive?

Not offensive to me but could be to a lot of other people. Depends on where it is shown and what kind of people will see it.

I came across this during my research on my current project. I personally don't find it offensive. Fragrances are there to attract. Ford sees this and took it to the extreme level where it communicates effectively, getting straight to the point visually (you buy this, you get what's behind it!) We know that there's so many ways to illustrate the same point but this is obviously targeted to men, and nude is what attract most men. It works for men as it is their demographic, female will find it offensive as it does communicate the wrong impression of women, but Ford wouldn't careless, because this product is not designed for them.
